Mumbles Lifeboat Station
Initially contacted through one of our distributors, Holman Specialist Paints Ltd Swindon, we were asked to survey and provide a specification for all substrates on the structure encompassing everything from the timber walls to the composite plastic roof.
Throughout the whole process the RNLI were explicit about ensuring a very high level of performance from our products and obtaining the best value from their investment.
The RNLI approach being that the charitable money they save in not having to repaint the station every two years is far better spent investing in equipment and materials that directly saves lives.
The exposed nature of the Station made our products perfectly suited for this project. VALTTI Ultra was used on the large surface areas of timber, VALTTI Miranol on the metal work and VALTTI Repco on the roof.
With this combination of products we would expect to see no degradation of the topcoat for at least 9-10 years.
Completion of the project occurred last week and we are happy to say that the RNLI is happy.
VALTTI were very proud to be approached by the RNLI to specify products for use on the historic Mumbles Light house in Wales.
